  Description

The trulli, limestone dwellings found in the southern region of Puglia, are remarkable examples of drywall (mortarless) construction, a prehistoric building technique still in use in this region. The trulli – declared World herigage by UNESCO in 1996 – are made of roughly worked limestone boulders collected from neighbouring fields. Characteristically, they feature pyramidal, domed or conical roofs built up of corbelled limestone slabs.

This trullo, newly restored, is surrounded by old olive trees, in the picturesque countryside north of Salento (Apulia). The trullo is located at only 17km from the WWF natural reserve of Torre Guaceto and close to the "white city" of Ostuni.

The guesthouse has two buildings: the old stone “Trullo”, with six cone-shaped roofs. This old part contains 1 double bed (located in a romantic alcove); 2 couch-single beds in the living room a beautiful and practical kitchenette and a stylish bathroom made all in stone. Trullo can accommodate 4 to 6 persons. Outside: a big table, barbecue, 2 hammocks and beach chairs. It is the perfect place for peaceful vacation in a unique setting.
