Description
The Masseria Tut, Hotel in Ostuni, has been
carefully restructured and
the addition to the original building of some comfortable apartments
have not detracted from any of the local charm. All the accommodation,
be it a self catering apartment, a double room or a junior suite, has
been simply yet comfortably furnished and the superb swimming pool has
lots of loungers for the sun worshippers amongst you.
Accommodation
There are four types of accommodation:
· Aranceto apartments:
are located in the newer part of the building and are furnished in the
local style bearing in mind that outdoors living is the
‘norm’ during the summer months in southern Italy.
All these apartments boast 2 double bedrooms, 1 single bedroom and 2
shower rooms plus air conditioning, TV (local channels only)
· Torre Bassa &
Torre Alta apartments: are located in the old part of the
building with its magnificently thick stone walls which keep the rooms
pleasantly cool in the hot months (hence the lack of air conditioning
units here). On ground level, Torre Bassa has a mezzanine area with
double bed and open plan dining/kitchenette area plus shower room. On
the first floor, Torre Alta has a separate bedroom, dining/kitchenette
area and due to the original design of the masseria, the bathroom has
been divided into 2 parts – a WC and hand basin in one room
and the shower cubicle privately positioned at the end of the kitchen
unit.
· Double rooms in new
building: are newly renovated rooms which have retained
the wonderful old stone floors typical to Puglia. All are equipped with
small fridge, TV (local channels only), air conditioning/heating and
en-suite shower rooms.
· Double rooms in
Masseria: comfortable rooms are within the old building
and are slightly smaller than the other doubles. As with the Torre
Apartments, air conditioning is not necessary and they have been
equipped with fans, Tv, fridge and en-suite shower rooms.
Because of the location of Masseria Tut, eating out is easy and
convenient, there are many different local restaurants and pizzeria to
choose from.
Bicycles may be hired for leisurely pedalling around the grounds or
perhaps going down to the beach and for the more energetic, there are
also tennis courts and a riding stables nearby.
